Miti Kwa Maisha – Trees for Life
Green Dada Foundation is regenerating land and livelihoods across Kenya through community-led tree nurseries and training programs.
We are a grassroots organization working to transform underused land into thriving ecosystems, while creating green jobs for women and youth in Kenya.
Our First Project – Kisumu Faidherbia Nursery
In 2025, we're setting up a 5-hectare nursery on leased black cotton 'mbuga' land near Kisumu. Using raised beds, earthworks, and composting, we'll grow 200,000+ Faidherbia albida seedlings annually. These trees improve soil, increase crop yields, and restore ecosystems.
Seedling Production
200K+ trees/year
Earthworks
Swales, berms, and water retention
Composting System
Locally-sourced organic matter
Local Jobs
15+ jobs and skill training

Healthy Soils
We enrich degraded black cotton soils with compost and cover crops.

Thriving Trees
We grow native Faidherbia that improve farms and absorb carbon.

Stronger Communities
We train locals, create jobs, and build green economies.
"We're not just planting trees — we're planting a future."
